Terms of Use
In short
- Use the app only with servers you own or are allowed to manage.
- Actions you take from the app change your server right away; keep backups.
- The app is provided as is, and alerts can be delayed or missed.
1. Acceptance
By installing or using Homelab Pulse (“the app”) and the Homelab Pulse agent (“the agent”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use them. Our Privacy Policy explains how data is handled.
2. What the app does
The app lets you monitor and manage servers through the agent you install on them: view their state, receive alerts, start, stop and restart services and containers, and open a terminal.
3. Your responsibility
- Use the app only with servers you own or are authorized to manage.
- Actions you take, such as restarting or stopping services and containers, rebooting, running commands in the terminal or changing integrations, take effect on your server immediately and can cause downtime or data loss. Keep backups of anything important.
- You decide who you invite to your servers and with which permission level, and you are responsible for keeping your phone, its screen lock and the app lock secure.
4. Software licenses
The app's source code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 and the agent's under the Apache License 2.0. Those licenses govern your rights to the code; these terms cover your use of the app and agent as we distribute them.
5. Third-party services
Google Play services and Firebase Cloud Messaging, Cloudflare, Telegram and other services you choose to connect are provided by third parties under their own terms. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.
6. Purchases
If optional paid features are offered, purchases are processed by Google Play under its terms, and refunds follow Google Play's refund policy.
7. No warranty
The app and the agent are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not promise that they will be error-free or always available. Alerts can be delayed or missed, for example because of network problems, the push service or the phone's battery settings; do not rely on the app as the only safeguard for critical systems.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, revenue or profits, arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or the agent.
9. Changes and ending use
We may update the app, the agent and these terms. We will post changes on this page with a new effective date; continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. You can stop at any time by uninstalling the app and removing the agent from your servers.
